One can also hike to the nearby caves, or rent mountain bikes and enjoy the many nature trails in the area.

The adjacent Moganshan National Park is known as one of the major nature scenic attractions in the region and has a long history as a retreat for Shanghai’s rich and famous’ as well as the ‘notorious’… Du Yusheng known as China’s “Al Capone” had his elaborate mansion built here. Today Mogan Mountain is recapturing its old grandeur, once again attracting visitors for the area’s cool mountain air and impressive scenery.

In the area, one can visit dozens of spots of both historical and scenic interests. White Cloud Mountain Villa is where Chang-Kai Shek spent his honey moon, while on the other side of the park one can visit Queen’s Hotel, the former residence of Mao Zedong in 1954. Apart from the many mansions, the park is lined with dozens of nature trails, streams, and waterfalls set inside the bamboo and wooded mountains.
